The Columbia Chess Club operates quads as a four-player 3-round Swiss tournament. Players are listed in the order of their rating and paired in sections of 4 from the top of the list down. If the last group has more than 4 players because the number of registrants is not divisible by 4, the last section may have up to 7 players.
$20 entry fee. Free entry for players rated >1800 (entry fee deducted from any prize).
Registration Online Preferred: MUST BE REGISTERED BY 6:40 p.m. ONLINE OR IN PERSON TO PARTICIPATE.
The winner of their quad section wins $40. In the event of a tie for first place in the section, the $40 prize is split between the players tied according to USCF rules. $45 is paid to the winner in the event of a perfect score.
