Funds go directly to purchasing equipment, hosting lectures, operating tournaments, community outreach events, and other activities designed to sustain the club and grow chess in our community.

You are welcome to donate any amount or items you choose. To specially recognize your support of the Columbia Chess Club, we will list your name and the year of your donation in one of the following categories:
Morphy Donor: $1000 and above
Capablanca Donor: $500-999
Botvinnik Donor: $250-499
Vera Menchik Donor: $100-249
Patron: Under $100
Unfortunately, no. The Columbia Chess club is a small group of volunteers and is currently without the resources required to organize as a 501(c)(3) and qualify under IRS rules, but we aspire to address this issue as we grow.
Absolutely. We list our donors as a thank you for their support, but if you prefer your name not to be listed on our donations page, just let us know by emailing info@columbiachess.org.
