Tuesday Kid's Night!

The Columbia Chess Club hosts a kids night every Tuesday to create a consistent opportunity for children of all ages to engage with the game and each other in a supportive environment. 


Register Online or On-Site; Online Registration Preferred.

Details

Here's a breakdown  of the offerings:


Rated Section ($5 Entry Fee):

  • This section is for players who already have US Chess Federation (USCF) memberships and are interested in competitive play.
  • The winner of this section receives a medal.


Unrated Section ($5 Entry Fee):

  • This section caters to new players who have not yet obtained a USCF membership.
  • Winner receives a free USCF membership ($20 Value).


Casual Play (Free):

  • Casual play sessions provide a relaxed environment for players who may not yet feel ready for competitive play.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for beginners to learn more about the game and improve their skills at their own pace.
  • It fosters a sense of community among young players and helps them develop a love for chess beyond just competition.


Registration on-site or online, online registration strongly encouraged.
